Nylet are Britain's longest established model sailmakers with 62 years of model sailmaking experience and offer a reliable and efficient World-wide mail order service from our product range including; IOM Yacht kits, sails and rigs, mast & deck fittings, masts, rig bags, Nylet/Hitec sailwinches, also Graupner Regatta sailwinches, battery packs, accessories, books, Nylet "How to" booklets, materials and tools, bolts & screws etc.

 

 

Apart from offering finely finished sails in Dacron, scrim, film, and cotton, and now in varnished Terylene, we make 'Classic Cut' Dacron sails as we did pre-1970. This style of 'sewn' sail is available made to order to suit your classic yacht. My late fathers hand-written sail cutting book includes designs from the 1940’s so we can offer sails such as Starlet, Gosling, March Hare, Genie, China Boy, Cedar 4, Trapper, Festive, Mad Hatter, Cracker, Highlander, Pacemaker, Mosquito - to name only a few (and see quick ref sail list). We also make 'replacement' sails for kit yachts such as the Billings Caroline, Comtesse, Dolphin, Fairwind, Micro Magic, Northwind, Seawind, and for newer 'plans' such as Vic Smeed's new Star Baby. We make any sails to special order, to your templates or sizes.

We are also able to provide a restoration service for your vintage model yacht. All work is undertaken by a skilled modelmaker and to the very highest standard. All types are catered for, from working boats, fishing vessels, pond yachts, racing yachts etc. Please contact us with your requirements.
